Company Background
The Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was jointly established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government and the Chinese University of Hong Kong in February 2006. The Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology was jointly established in February 2006 to focus on the cross-integration of information technology (IT) and biotechnology (BT). At present, it has built a “micro innovation system” that integrates scientific research, education, industry and capital. The Bioengineering Research Center of Guangzhou Institute of Advanced Technology, with the technical support of synthetic biology and the needs of social development as a roadmap, empower biotechnology in health, agriculture, energy, environmental protection and other industries. At present, it has made excellent achievements in protein directed evolution, phage and antimicrobial peptide combined technology research and development, biological resource value transformation, and biological software development. Biology Center has nearly 20 employees and students, including 1 national “Jieqing”, 2 high-level talents in Guangzhou, 2 high-end leading talents in Nansha District, and 3 doctoral supervisors of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has set up Guangdong Province Biological experimental Equipment Custom Engineering Technology Center, which has undertaken nearly 30 national and local scientific research projects and enterprise horizontal projects in the past 5 years.
